Hostess - Arab Speaker

As the Hostess of our Lebanese Restaurant, your primary responsibility is to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests, provide exceptional customer service, and ensure a memorable dining experience.

What you will be doing:

- Greeting and Seating Guests : When guests arrive, you will be the first point of contact. You will warmly greet them, inquire about their reservation, and guide them to their assigned tables. It is important to maintain a friendly and professional demeanor throughout the process.
- Reservation Management: You will manage the reservation system, ensure accuracy, and effectively organize the seating arrangements. This includes updating the reservation book, confirming reservations, and accommodating any special requests.
- Managing Waiting Lists : In cases where the restaurant is fully booked, you will maintain a waiting list for guests without reservations. You will estimate wait times and communicate them to guests, ensuring that they are comfortable and informed about the status of their table.
- Providing Menu and Specials Information: As a hostess, you will be knowledgeable about the restaurant's menu, daily specials, and any promotions or unique offerings. You will be able to provide guests with accurate information and answer any questions they may have.
- Coordinating with Servers and Staff: You will work closely with the serving staff, ensuring efficient table turnover and smooth communication between the front of house and back of house teams. This may involve relaying specific requests or concerns from guests to the appropriate staff members.
- Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization : As guests arrive and leave, you will ensure that the entrance, waiting area, and hostess station are tidy and organized. You may also assist in arranging table settings, polishing cutlery, and monitoring the overall cleanliness of the dining area.
- Handling Guest Concerns: In the event of any guest complaints or concerns, you will address them professionally and promptly. This may involve listening to the guest, offering solutions or alternatives, and seeking assistance from management if necessary.
- Upselling and Promoting Restaurant Services: When appropriate, you may be responsible for upselling and promoting additional services such as special events, private dining, or loyalty programs. This requires good communication skills and an understanding of the restaurant's offerings.
- Have a fair idea about general information around the city.
- To be aware of all the policies and procedures in the Hotel.
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Your experience and skills include:

- Minimum of two years of relevant experience
- Must be fluent in Arabic Language
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
