Lead Process Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Process Engineer to join a PMC team of experienced professionals on a contract basis, working directly for a huge operator in the GCC. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and leading the process engineering team in India on a large Gas project, and will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our process engineering activities.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the process engineering team in India, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of projects
- Develop and implement process engineering strategies, standards, and procedures to optimize productivity and efficiency
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to identify and address process engineering requirements and challenges
- Conduct analysis and evaluation of process systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance performance
- Provide technical expertise and support for complex process engineering issues, and oversee the resolution of technical problems
- Lead process safety and risk assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Participate in the development and review of project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
- Mentor and coach junior process engineers, and contribute to their professional development and growth

Salary:
USD 7,000 to 12,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Proven experience in a process engineering leadership role within the oil and gas industry, with a strong track record of successful project delivery
- In-depth knowledge of process engineering principles, practices, and technologies, with a focus on oil and gas processes
- Proficiency in process simulation software and tools, and ability to apply advanced engineering calculations and analysis
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards achieving common goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Solid understanding of process safety and risk management principles, and a commitment to ensuring a safe working environment
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and a strong commitment to meeting deadlines and targets
