Job description / Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Contracts Advisor to join our team in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the oil and gas industry and a thorough understanding of contract management. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, contributing to the success of our projects in the region.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Review and analyze contract terms and conditions, identifying potential risks and proposing appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that contractual obligations are met and to resolve any contract-related issues that may arise during project execution.
- Participate in the development and implementation of contract management tools and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance, and provide regular reports and updates to project stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and legal requirements related to contract management and procurement.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the contracts function by providing insights and recommendations for enhancing processes and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certifications in contract management or procurement is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- In-depth knowledge of contract law, procurement processes, and supply chain management.
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating and managing contracts with a focus on cost-effectiveness and risk mitigation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex contractual issues and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural work environment.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
