Estimation Manager

Job description / Role

We are seeking an experienced Estimation Manager to join our construction team in Dubai, UAE. The Estimation Manager will be responsible for leading the estimation process for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all cost estimation activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimation, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality and timely estimates for construction projects.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the estimation process for construction projects, including analyzing project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Collaborate with the project management team to understand project requirements and timelines, ensuring that estimation deliverables align with project needs.
- Evaluate and analyze project risks and opportunities, incorporating these factors into the estimation process to provide comprehensive and realistic cost estimates.
- Utilize industry-standard estimation software and tools to streamline the estimation process and enhance accuracy.
- Prepare and present detailed and clear estimation reports to the senior management team, providing insights and recommendations for cost optimization and value engineering.
- Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and construction methods to ensure that estimation practices align with current market conditions and best practices.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to obtain accurate pricing and availability of materials and subcontractor services.
- Participate in bid reviews and negotiations, providing valuable input and support to secure new construction projects.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards in the estimation process, prioritizing health, safety, and environmental considerations.

Salary:
AED 15,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Master's degree or professional certification in estimation or project management is a plus.
- Proven experience in construction estimation, with a minimum of 7 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of construction industry practices, materials, and methods, with a strong understanding of cost factors and market trends.
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools, with the ability to leverage technology to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of estimation processes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing estimation team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering precise and reliable cost estimates.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering high-quality estimation outcomes within project timelines and budget constraints.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Familiarity with UAE construction regulations and market dynamics is preferred.
