Course Overview

Mechanical engineering applies science and technology to the design, production and operation of systems, mechanical devices and machinery. Deakin's Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours) will allow you to apply theory in industry-relevant projects, combining project management skills with numerical simulation techniques, product realisation and testing. You will cover many mechanical disciplines, including machine design, thermo- fluids, structural design and industrial control, while developing skills in project management, communication and financial management. You will also explore product and process modelling, and how to design for sustainability.
