Course Overview

This degree will teach you to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a range of settings. Clinical placements start in the first trimester of your first year, and continue throughout your degree. These placements are undertaken in various metropolitan, regional and rural healthcare settings under the supervision of qualified practitioners. Students with current or previous nursing experience may be eligible to earn up to 16 credits points in recognition of prior learning. As a Deakin nursing graduate you will be highly sought-after for your knowledge, problem-solving capabilities and ability to provide high-quality, person-centred and evidence-based care.
