Course Overview

This course describes the PE polymerization reaction kinetics and reactor design in detail. The main focus is found on the actual polymerization reactors and their design and operation. Each different polymerization scheme is investigated and the respective reactors are presented in detail. Reaction kinetics in each type are presented and explained. Phase equilibria fluid flows and especially heterogeneous fluid flows and transfer mechanisms are key factors to this course.

Who should take this course

This course is a great match for:

Chemists, Chemical Engineers, Industrial Engineers working in polymerization units. Process Engineers, Chemical engineers looking to increase their understanding of polymerization processes. Any individual seeking to understand polymerization of ethylene and polymerization reactors. Academic students and personnel looking to increase their understanding in the field,
