GMAT Reading Comprehension:

The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a computer-adaptive test that is conducted to assess the analytical, reasoning, quantitative, writing and verbal skills of aspirants who aim to take admission in graduate-level management programmes in top business schools across the globe. The Verbal section consists of Reading Comprehension, Critical Reasoning and Sentence Correction. Reading Comprehension is an important skill that a serious aspirant needs to pick up to ensure a good score in the Verbal section.

A typical Reading Comprehension question would involve a passage taken from a random topic with questions asked around it. The topic might vary from philosophy and science to business and sociology. The diversity of topics would put one out of his/her comfort zone and thereby, make comprehension and logic application difficult. The questions asked on the passage are also convoluted in order to confuse an aspirant into marking the wrong answer.
