Vector Editing

In this course you will learn the editing techniques necessary to create all the types of vectors you need!

The skills learned in this course are fundamental to your professional career and will help you increase productivity and competitiveness.

GIS field editing is not simply drawing because every geometry that is drawn carries with it well-defined characteristics.

To best structure a vector layer it is essential to know the methodology and the basic rules of this activity. You will in fact learn what the topological rules are and why it is essential to know them before going into an editing session. It will be clear to you what an attribute table is and why it is so important.

The theoretical part will be accompanied by a practical part in which I will show you how to best edit the geometries and at the end of the course there will be a further practical part in which you will carry out an exercise in solitary.

• Final summary tutorial

During the course I will release both the slides and the material used in the various lessons and of course the files that will be used for the final exercise.

Thanks to the theoretical introduction, you will be able to perform vector editing with any software!

The software used for this course is QGIS in version 3.x , which has now become one of the best GIS software. QGIS has been developed for a decade, is constantly updated, has a wide range of users and many support forums. It is used by many public realities but also private ones. The Tuscany Region, for example, also with a view to complying with the Digital Administration Code (DL n.82, 7 March 2005) , releases the cartographic data in the form of a QGIS project.
