Clinically Enhanced Pharmacist Independent Prescribing

Our Clinically Enhanced Pharmacist Independent Prescribing (CEPIP) post-graduate course is part-time, flexible and competency-based. This is a GPhC accredited course for qualified pharmacists wanting to prescribe autonomously for conditions within their clinical competence. As well as meeting GPhC requirements this course provides training in health assessment, diagnostic and clinical examination skills, comparable to those of an Advanced Clinical Practitioner. On completion of this course pharmacists will be able to assist in wider clinical duties that are transferable to urgent and acute settings across secondary, primary and community care. We require you to have an MPharm or equivalent. You must currently be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council or the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland.

Please describe your current area of practice, your clinical experience to date and reasons for pursuing the Clinically Enhanced Pharmacist Independent Prescribing (CEPIP) course, including the service and patients for who you will prescribing. You should demonstrate advance practice, clinical skills and knowledge relevant to your intended scope of practice.
