Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

IT Security Head - c$10,000 per month

Responsibilities:
• Building IT security department,
• Reviewing existing IT security policies and procedures.
• Protecting the computers, networks and data against threats, such as security breaches, computer viruses or attacks by cyber-criminals.
• Conducting security awareness training of all staff.
• Assessing the organization’s security measures, such as firewalls, anti-virus software and passwords, to identify any weak points that might make information systems vulnerable to attack.
• Reviewing and updating users access levels and roles in all systems used by the bank.
• Making sure all operating systems used in the bank computer systems are tuned and hardened
• Setting up procedures and automated processes to monitor the status of computers and networks.
• Responds quickly to determine the cause and deal with any cyber security threat.
• Analyze reports generated by the monitoring system to identify trends that might indicate a future risk.
• Addressing any other possible security breach, weakness or vulnerable area or system.

Requirements

• IT Security manager must have a strong background in information technology with a clear understanding of the challenges of information security.
• Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and fix security weakness.
• Ability to build understanding and awareness of security issues throughout the organization.
• Must have excellent communication, presentation and training skills.
• Needs good team working skills to develop security solutions in collaboration with other information technology staff.
• understanding of Cisco, MS, and Unix operating systems

One of below given certification or it’s equivalent is required for the position.
• CompTIA Security+
• CEH: Certified Ethical Hacker.
• GSEC: SANS GIAC Security Essentials.
• CISSP: Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
• CISM: Certified Information Security Manager.
