Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working exclusively with a five star Hotel in North Africa who is looking to hire a General Manager for the property, a renowned established international brand. As the General Manager you will oversee all day to day operations of the hotel and lead your team to achieve excellence at all times.
You will be responsible for overseeing all departments across the property, consistently working very closely with the ex-com team but also being an approachable leader to all members of your team. You will drive the revenue and financial performance, develop improvement plans for the property and act as a constant connector the property, the brand and the owners, making sure to manager all aspects and expectations.
Requirements
The successful candidate should be an experienced hotel General Manager, someone who is operationally very hands on, a very strong communicative leader. Comprehensively experienced Hotel Managers or EAM’s may also be considered. The ideal candidate has experience or exposure overseeing renovations or remodels. This role requires experience in a remote or challenging location(s). Experience in a known or international brand is a must, preferably in a franchise or owner operated situation. Due to the scope of the role you must be fluent in French.
