Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Supports the Top Management in the HSE Policy and Guidelines issue.
• Supports the Top Management in the Organization roles and responsibilities definition, for what concerns safety aspects.
• Supports the Top Management in the HSE Management System standard issue.
• Ensures, in accordance with the Corporate guidelines, the implementation, updating, review and auditing of the Company HSE Systems.
• Monitors the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures and provide for their updating in line with changes in Legislation and Company Directives.
• Provides for motivation and familiarization of all Company personnel respecting the importance of complying with Company system procedures and all Safety equipment provided.
• Takes part in accident / incident investigation.
• Carries out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans.
• Provides technical support to Senior Management on any safety related subjects.
• Carries out any in-house safety training.
• Carries out safety audits on Sub-contractors.
• Develop and update following SOP complying with local authority requirement:
• safety management system,
• fire safety procedure,
• emergency procedure,
• environmental control procedure
• Business Continuing Plan, and
• security procedures
• Conduct risk assessment for the plant to identify hazardous activities and work place for mitigation to comply with local authority requirement
• Conduct daily tool box meeting, EHS audit and enforce safety at work place
• Conduct investigation to EHS incident and recommend mitigation to reduce future occurrence
• Formation of safety committee, conduct monthly inspection and monthly meeting to address all concern of EHS issues
• Liaison with relevant regulatory authorities for plant equipment registration and renewal and handle audit/inspection by the authorities to ensure all the permit and licenses are obtained and renew promptly
• Organize and conduct EHS related training to O&M staffs for safety awareness and promotion including safety orientation to newly recruit staffs and contractor
• Prepare a yearly EHS program including training, fire and emergency drill, Hazmat drills, courses, safety day and implement accordingly
• Prepare a yearly EHS budget for execution of EHS activities in the Plant
• Accept ad hoc assignment given by the managers
• Accept to take the responsibility of Security control services and follow the local legislation for the Security system

Requirements

• University Qualifications: Engineering
• Other certifications obtained: HSE Training
• Nature and length of previous experience: 10 years minimum
• Age Range: 30-55
• Gender Preference: male
• Nationality Preference: Algerian National
• Language Fluency: English, French, Arabic
• Current Location: Algeria
