Job description / Role
Maintenance Manager (desalination plant)
• Lead a team of maintenance engineers, supervisors and technicians to provide maintenance of the plant equipment, system and building services complying with the O&M procedure
• Prepare a master maintenance and calibration schedule for the plant equipment and system and perform scheduled maintenance and calibration promptly.
• Keep proper records of all maintenance and calibration data.
• Develop , implement and update Standard Operating procedures for warranty claim, maintenance and calibration
• Work with Operations team to attend to equipment failure promptly for investigation and corrective action to ensure speedily restoration of normal water production. Prepare and track all defects, expedite its corrective action and closure. Manage all contractors on site to comply with environment, health and safety requirement
• Planning and management of maintenance and calibration tools and machines for plant maintenance
• Manpower planning and provide training to all maintenance technicians to ensure all staffs understand clearly their duty and work and comply with procedure, environment, health and safety requirement
• Prepare spare parts and consumable list and procure them promptly to support plant operations
• Prepare maintenance contract servicing list and secure all the contract promptly
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports with accuracy information and submit them promptly
Project:
• Support the Plant Manager and prepare mobilization for the maintenance and logistic team to take over a desalination plant effectively on time by COD
• Lead a team of maintenance engineers and technicians to carry out plant improvement work for better plant efficiency or cost saving in operations
Logistic:
• Inventory control and warehousing management.
Requirements
• Degree in Engineering (preferable in Mechanical or Process) and with at least 4 years experience in plant maintenance
• Must be able to read engineering drawings (ACAD) P&ID, computer literate and familiar with Microsoft programs and its software
• Possess good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment
• Good experience with the design, installation and maintenance aspects of water treatment plant.
• Experience in maintenance of mechanical equipment. Such as pumps, compressor/blower, valves and instrumentations etc
• Working experience in water treatment industry and understanding P&ID will be added advantage
• Good communication and leadership skill
• Acceptance for overseas deployment both short and long term
