Transmission Optimization Engineer

Job description / Role

- Monitor Network performance for specified domains on a regular basis.
- Perform routine (Pro-active, Reactive) Audits to highlight key performance & capacity issues.
- Propose Recommendations (Parameters / Timers, Features, Upgrades, Architectural etc.) for performance improvements in specified domains.
- Work closely with other domains’ Optimization members to identify issues & suggest improvement actions.
- Work closely with Planning / Project teams (of specified domains) to ensure rollouts / expansions / upgrades / swaps / trials are well managed and do not adversely affect the network performance.
- Follow up / Benchmark improvement / degradation as a result of proposed recommendations.
- Support Analyses of key Trials / Features / Functionality in specified domains.

Requirements

- Experience in Transmission in Microwave Planning & Design and Optimization and Network KPI monitoring.
- Strong knowledge about Transmission principles PDH, SDH Ip etc.
- Bachelor or Masters of Engineering / Science (BSc, BE or MSc, ME) in Electrical / Telecommunications.
