Overview
Build and run the financial management backbone of Pilar Campos: management reporting, cash control, budgeting, forecasting, project/job costing, margin protection, pricing validation, and investment feasibility.

The role supports project-based work, including longer payment cycles in oil & gas (45-75 days).

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver weekly/monthly management reporting (P&L;, cash position, KPIs) with clear variance explanations.
• Maintain a 13-week rolling cash flow forecast and manage liquidity and payment priorities.
• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasting; run scenarios based on pipeline and project schedules.
• Implement job costing per project (planned vs actual) and track gross margin by project.
• Validate pricing and profitability and enforce minimum margin/discount approval rules.
• Focus: cash, budgeting, job costing, margins, pricing, investment cases, account, control invoices, payments.

We are looking for a hands-on Finance Controller with strong management accounting capability to build financial discipline and predictability in a growing, project-based business. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, structured, and execution-oriented, able to translate numbers into operational control and decision-making.

The right profile has 7–15+ years of progressive finance experience (Controller, Finance Manager, Head of Finance), ideally in project-driven environments such as construction, engineering services, maintenance contracts, manufacturing, fit-out, or oil & gas supply/contracting. The candidate must demonstrate proven ability to:

• Produce weekly and monthly management reporting (management P&L, variance analysis, dashboards) and run a fast monthly close.
• Build and manage a 13-week rolling cash flow forecast, protect liquidity, and drive collections/receivables discipline.
• Implement project/job costing (planned vs actual costs) and report gross margin by project, including cost codes/cost centers.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting (annual budget + rolling forecast) and scenario planning.
• Validate pricing and profitability (margin checks, discount approvals, risk pricing) and support commercial proposals with financial control.
• Prepare investment/business cases (ROI, payback, and feasibility) for CapEx and strategic initiatives.
• Define and enforce practical financial controls and approval policies (purchases, discounts, scope changes/variations, exceptions).
• Advanced Excel skills are required; ERP experience (e.g., Primavera/ERP systems, SAP/Odoo/others) is a plus. The candidate must have strong communication skills to work closely with Operations, Procurement, and Commercial teams, and must be comfortable enforcing discipline and saying “no” when cash or margin is at risk.
• English is required; Portuguese is a strong advantage. The role is Luanda-based (no rotation) and requires relocation.

Salary:
USD 800 to 3,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
