Quality Control Manager - Juice Factory - Tetra Pack - Angola

Our client is a reputable African group who has diversified business portfolio positioned in multi-location in Africa. FMCG manufacturing is one of their major businesses among others. Currently, they are seeking to recruit Food Technologist professional who will be appointed as Quality Control Manager for their Tetra Pack Juice factory.

Reporting to the plant manager, the incumbent’s overall responsibility of this position is to look after the Quality Management System of the entire manufacturing, filling and packaging process to ensure quality standard and to achieve targeted productivity with all quality & legal compliances within budget. In addition, to ensure plant operations proceed in accordance with the systems and procedures set and adhere to the production plans for the respective field.

Key Accountabilities
• Implement systems and procedures to ensure manufacturing operations of the factory meets production plans, product quality and cost standards.
• Ensure the implementation of Tetra Pack standards for Quality
• Ensure quality orientation and identify quality improvement programmes to improve the cost effectiveness of the manufacturing process for the factory.
• Monitor working conditions to ensure the continued provision of a safe and healthy working environment for the factory.
• Maintain all necessary records to ensure effective monitoring of the manufacturing process in the factory.
• Ensure that appropriate standard operating procedures are developed and maintained for all aspects of the business.
• Implement plant safety programs and ensure compliance with QAMS, HACCP and Good manufacturing practices

Requirements

• The incumbent should have university degree in the area of Food Technology
• Should have worked at least five years within the Quality function in Juice Tetra Pack factory
• Having experience in Juices factory / with Tetra Pack technology is a certain plus
• In-depth knowledge about the entire quality control process from raw material till the finished goods.
• In-depth knowledge about the product life cycle
• In-depth knowledge about Food International Standard requirements.
• In-depth knowledge about local requirement for food inception
• Handle inspection process & control,
• Ability to produce quality reports at all stages of the process.
• Submit quality control reports on-time and as per the internal & external rules & regulations.
• Posses excellent communication skills both verbally & in-writing
• Fluency in English is a must
