Course Overview
Science plays a key role in finding solutions to global issues. These can range from the impact of climate change and reducing our carbon footprint, to stem cell research and forensic/criminology science. Deakin's Bachelor of Science allows you to explore a wide range of science-related study areas and specialise in at least one area of interest. This course is comprised of 24 credit points, including:
- 8 core units
- 10 elective units
- 6 major sequence units
- 3 zero-credit-point units (laboratory and fieldwork safety, work placements and academic integrity).
Throughout the degree you will gain experience through practical programs undertaken in modern teaching laboratories; complete a community science project; and establish valuable professional networks prior to graduation.
