Mechanical Commissioning Engineer - Darwin

- esponsible for direct interface with construction personnel coordinating construction completion in areas and systems under assignment
- Generates and maintains records of tests and other startup related activities
- Assist construction team in execution of required pre-commissioning activities
- Maintains communications to ensure accurate and timely flow of information
- Advises startup management of developments that may affect project costs, schedules, and client relations
- Assists in the development of mechanical commissioning procedures
- Reviews system turnover packages
- Track and report on all issues affecting Mechanical Startup and Commissioning and promptly advising
- Lead Mechanical Startup Professional of issues that may impact achievement of project goals and objectives
- Maintain a daily diary to permanently record all significant project facts, events, conditions, visitors etc.
- Record and maintain as-built documentation and submit it to the Resident Engineers for updates
- Responsible for direct interface with, and providing assistance to other discipline startup professionals
- Ensure that spare parts and consumables necessary for operation of the assigned system are available
- Request operator, construction craft or vendor assistance as necessary
- Work with Startup Construction Superintendent to ensure Startup Activities that require craft support are planned, communicated and completed

Requirements

- 5 years mechanical startup experience on similar projects (Combined Cycle, Combustion Turbine)
- Engineering Degree/Certification (or equivalent operational experience (Naval, Maritime, Stationary Engineer))
- OSHA 10 or 30 Hour Training – preferable
- Ability to commit to 3:1 FIFO roaster to Darwin
