Psychometrist / Research Assistant

Job description / Role

Minimum Qualifications:
• Theoretical knowledge of biology, human development, psychology, teratology or other science/health related field at a level typically acquired at a Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in administering and scoring standardized psychometric testing, such as Mullen, WPPSI-IV, WISC-IV and WASI.
• Ability to independently identify abnormal and borderline testing result, both in questionnaire format and face to face testing.
• Excellent interpersonal communication with adults and children of various ages and various levels of education/backgrounds; professional, respectful and tactful communication with subjects by telephone and in person; ability to communicate effectively and clearly in writing.
• Ability to efficiently organize, prioritize, understand and meet deadlines for testing, data entry and general assignments.
• Experience working with various databases, including web databases, Excel, Access, or other databases.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct literature searches and extract information relevant to project activities.
• Ability to develop and/or make recommendations for protocols improvements.

• Must have a valid California driver’s license, current insurance and access to reliable transportation
• Requires travel within the United States and Canada for subject testing 25% time
• A flexible work schedule with evening and weekend hours required for contacting and testing subjects
