Tunnel MEP Leader

Job description / Role

My client is a leading engineering consultancy who work on projects all over the world. They have recently been awarded a new tunnelling project in Australia and are looking to recruit an experienced lead tunnel MEP leader. The role will involve;

Coordinate, check and monitoring all the design phases (preliminary design, detailed design and IFC “issue for construction” and technical support to the Client (the Contractor) during the construction phase (CPS).

Leading and supervising the dedicated discipline design team in Tunnels Mechanical System (HVAC and Ventilation, Maintenance Equipment for Workshop, Air compressed system, Purging System), Electrical (substations and control centers), Fire and Life Safety System (Fire detection System, Clean Agent System, Sprinkler System, Foam System), Security (Control Access, CCTV System, Anti-intrusion security system), Plumbing System (Sanitary System, Drainage Pumping System) and Tunnel Ventilation System. Ensure the Discipline Design delivery (drawings, models, specifications, reports, datasheets, schedules).
Design implementation with BIM.

Requirements

Candidates should have a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and should have a proven background overseeing large MEP section of major construction projects. Candidates must have worked on tunnel and underground structures before
