Job description / Role

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Preparation of detailed cost estimates at the preliminary, intermediate, final, and release-for-construction stages of design completion for comparison with cost trending analysis and tracking of change orders.
• Prepares and maintains project cost estimating data consistent with program controls structures through utilization of common WBS elements between Oracle, PRISM, and Primavera software.
• Confers with Agency management regarding cost estimating and cost/price/analysis.
• Works with the Cost Engineer with monthly forecast estimate to complete report by providing remaining quantity estimates and assessments and current market rate and trend analysis data.
• Works closely with project manager, design/engineering discipline leads, and project controls personnel to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates.
• Provides input regarding value management, risk analysis, cost contingencies, and life-cycle cost analysis.
• Provides standards for and prepares cost check estimates for change order and contract amendment negotiations.
• Develops strategies to resolve potential problems on major cost estimates and cost/price analysis.
• Perform peer review for other team estimators.

Requirements

Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) from four-year college or university in construction management, engineering, accounting, or related field.
• Experience in cost estimating on large-scale public works projects, including; total project estimate compilation, and cost estimate presentation/reporting are desirable.
• ASPE and/or AACE International certifications are desirable.
• Compensation commensurate with experience.
