Job description / Role
Project Manager needed in Bahamas with Carpentry bias needed for Luxury Home builder.
* The candidate will be responsible for project managing the woodwork element of each luxury home project, from partition walls to walk in closets, cabinetry, counters and so on.
* The candidate will be able to manage all elements of the project including overseeing physical works, scheduling, managing profitability, quality control and must possess strong leadership skills.
* This position requires extensive knowledge of wood product manufacturing, kitchen and bath design and specialised industry standards set by the NKBA, AWI and CKCA.
* The candidate must have 7 years related experience working in high end residential wood, mill-work or furniture manufacturing.
* Must be proficient in AutoCad and/or Mozaik. Must possess excellent technical and design skills. Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma theory and practices is desirable.
* This role is best suited to someone who has a strong, working knowledge of Carpentry and excellent management skills to ensure proper coordination of a skilled labour force.
* Candidates with commercial or fixture/fit-out background will not be considered. This is a role whereby only relevant high end private residential experience will be considered.
Requirements
* 7+ years experience in high end residential millworks
* Proficiency in AutoCad and/or Mozaik
* Excellent technical and design skills
* Held a previous, similar role
* Candidates with experience working in the Caribbean will be prioritised
* Strony project management skills
* Estensive knowledge of wood product manufacturing
* Kitchen and bathroom design knowledge
