Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team within the Food & Beverage (F&B) sector in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role plays a key part in maintaining the financial health of our F&B operations, while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.

Duties & Responsibility
• Maintain accurate financial records for the F&B division, ensuring all revenues, expenses, and inventory are properly recorded.
• Timely posting of financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly financial statements and summaries, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Process and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring payments are processed on time.
• Review and verify supplier invoices, ensuring that all documentation and approvals are in place.
• Follow up on outstanding customer accounts and ensure timely collection of payments.
• Assist in the preparation of departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for the F&B division.
• Monitor actual performance against the budget and analyze variances, suggesting corrective actions as needed.
• Conduct financial analysis on revenue, costs, and pricing for the F&B department, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and profit improvement.
• Regularly track food and beverage inventory to ensure accurate reporting and control.
• Work closely with the operations team to monitor waste and inventory loss, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
• Assist in analyzing the cost of goods sold (COGS) and implementing strategies to improve margins.
• Assist in preparing tax reports, including VAT, and ensure compliance with Bahraini tax laws.
• Support the annual audit process, preparing documentation and responding to queries as required.
• Prepare and present monthly financial reports to management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
• Provide in-depth financial analysis, highlighting key trends, profitability, and cost breakdowns in the F&B division.
• Maintain organized records and files for all financial transactions for easy retrieval.
• Assist with other ad-hoc accounting tasks and financial projects as needed.

Qualification & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or similar) are a plus.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the Food & Beverage or hospitality sector.
• Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is essential.
• Prior experience in cost control and inventory management in the F&B industry is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Bahraini tax regulations and local financial reporting requirements is preferred.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks.
