Job description / Role

• The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) is part of the Executive Team, with the holder being responsible for the commercial strategy and the development of the organization
• It will involve activities relating to marketing, sales, product development and customer service to drive business growth and market share
• As a corporate officer position, the CCO reports directly to the CEO and is primarily concerned with ensuring the integrated commercial success of an organization
• The role must combine technical knowledge of the relevant field with strong marketing and business development skills
• CCO takes ownership of the customer and the customer interface with the product or service offering, making sure that all functions of the organisation are aligned to meet its strategic commercial objectives
• They will be closely linked to the organisation's strategic management function, in drafting, implementing and evaluating cross-functional decisions that will enable an organization to achieve its long-term objective

Key Responsibilities

• The role holder has a fiduciary responsibility to the organisation for finances and budgets within their remit (as defined by the organisational structure)
• Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures
• Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
• Create and validate commercial / pricing models for the company’s clients and Third-Party Providers (TPPs)
• Build relationships with the company’s customers and partners
• Manage relationships with partners / vendors
• Work with the CMO and CSO to build out the company’s product proposition and sales / marketing strategies
• Deliver on the sales strategy to build the customer base across multiple countries in the GCC region
• Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
• Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metric
• Assist CEO in fundraising ventures
• Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.)

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as Chief Commercial Office or similar role, in a fast growth company
• Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc
• Demonstrable competency in commercial modelling based on market analysis and insight
• Experience in fundraising will be a plus
• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance / operational metrics
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
• Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
• BSc / BA in Business Management or relevant field; MSc/MBA is desired but not critical
