Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

RESPONIBILITIES:
• To ensure that strategies and broad directives are developed to meet policies and objectives.
• To ensure that the strategic and annual objectives, plans, programmes, and budgets are produced on time and accurately.
• To ensure that the company’s services are provided to members at world class level to exceed the members and business community’s expectations.
• To ensure that internal control procedures are established to assess risk in functional areas or department, to verify the company’s set policies and strategies are effectively functioning and to take remedial measures, if required.
• To ensure that diversified services are continually enhanced and new ones are introduced to meet the growing demands of the private sector businesses.
• To ensure that all the financial and accounting systems, operations and control mechanisms are designed and managed to provide satisfactory financial yields at all times; to meet the strategic needs and objectives.
• To ensure that the diversified expenditures and investments are closely monitored to meet the agreed budget levels.
• To ensure that all the strategic plans, objectives and programmes are achieved effectively on time and provide guidance and remedial measures to streamline deviations and variances.
• To ensure that staff are well trained, developed and motivated, to meet the highly changing and challenging environment of customer relations.
• To ensure that Board meetings are convened as per schedule and attend the meetings to provide required information to the Chairman and/or Board members.
• To ensure that the company objectives, plans, programmes and KPI’s are carried out satisfactorily.
• To ensure continued development in all the company operations, utilizing technological advancement and managing change, in order to provide world class support to the business community.

PRINCILPAL FUNCTIONS:
• Set major and broad strategies and directions for the entire functions of the company, to meet Board of Directors strategic objectives.
• Issue target dates, achievements levels and performance criteria for entire Operations and Development department of the company.
• Direct special studies, analysis, reviews and assessments, with respects to development tasks, control purpose and corrective measures.
• Monitor and review effectiveness of strategies, policies, procedures, programmes, Plans and objectives, to ensure effective and efficient performance and achievement.
• Review major service, operations and member support activities, to ensure their relevance, economic and sustainability.
• Provide directives, control and / or corrective measure, to minimize deviation and variance, in order to maximise utilization of resources and service quality.
• Focus control over highly sensitive economic issues and provide media and PR support to the Board of Directors, as and when required.
• Monitor the development and operational department activities beneficial to the members, private sector business community and national economy as a whole.
• Direct and guide effort to train, develop and motivate staff to ensure continuity and development of all support services.
• Provide all support services to the Chairman and Board Members for their effective decision making.

Requirements

• Masters in any discipline or equivalent form an accredited university.
• Membership in a professional body.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in managing large company, with Key knowledge in national and international business regulations, customer relationship, PR and communication.
• A good understanding of people behaviour.
• In-depth experience in international treaties and conventions Bahrain participated.

• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• To successfully work and communicate with a wide range of people at varying levels of the organisation.
