Job description / Role
Client is a highly reputable “boutique” engineering consultancy with offices throughout the world.
Each office is recognised for its engineering capability, and its capacity to respond to the rigors of each project it undertakes. The organisation prides itself on being technically very strong and bringing cost effective innovative solutions to each project.
Due to urgent project requirements, a Civil Design Engineer is now urgently required to start with our clients Doha office within the month of March 2017.
The role will include undertaking extensive design on local and foreign projects whilst reporting to the Infrastructure Director who is based out of country.
To be considered you will be technically excellent with strong knowledge of:
• Traffic engineering
• Road geometrics
• Drainage
• Road safety barriers
• Utility service protection and relocation.
• Health and safety in design, and
• Temporary traffic management design.
Requirements
It is essential that applicants are Grade A Engineers registered with either UPDA (Urban Planning & Development Authority), MMUP (Ministry of Municipality & Urban Planning) or MME (Ministry of Municipality & Environment).
A Grade A Engineer, available at very short notice and demonstrate a history of:
• Preparing concept, preliminary and detailed designs for local roads, arterial routes, highways and expressways
• Contributing to the preparation of contract drawings and documents for tender and construction purposes
• Attending project meetings with clients, architects and consulting disciplines;
• Contributing to the preparation of project proposals
