Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Manage complete operations of construction material testing technically in the laboratory and field operations.
- Manage the laboratory workforce Deputy Lab Manager, Supervisors, laboratory technicians, field technicians.
- Training newly hired technicians and Supervisors & other Lab Staff.
- Ensuring that Quality management system ISO17025 implementation, monitoring, and measurement
- Validation & signing of the final reports, Monthly Monitoring Reports (MMRs), equipment inventory list, verification certificates, calibration certificate receiving, verification of equipment and material receiving inspection, monthly invoices of testing.
- Validation & authorization of sampling, NDG deputation log, equipment performance, temperature logs, worksheets, testing schedules, final reports, MMR’s.
- Validation & authorization of timesheets, worksheets, final reports, invoices, verification & calibration certificates.
- Monitor cumulative & productive utilization of concerned laboratory & field team.
- Validation & authorization of worksheets, final reports, MMR’s, invoices of testing, invoices of newly received items or equipment, advance copies of results, equipment inventory.
- Customer dealing & meetings with Business Development Team.
- Raising the support tickets & MR’s.
- Maintaining & improving the QMS.
- Entertaining customer & MED/PNAC & Consultant visits to the laboratory.
- Validation & Authorization of Quality Assurance testing including but not limited Retained Samples Testing, Interlaboratory Testing, Proficiency Testing etc.
- Ensure timely completion of testing cycle as per the schedule.
- Ensure optimum utilization of lab staff.
- Ensure timely submission of reports.
- Ensure implementation of recovery strategy
- Reporting and logging any nonconformance, incident and equipment failure on company portal.
- Reporting and resolving any customer complaint.
- Training of staff for field and lab testing as per accreditation scope.
- Leading the initiative team for Implement all required forms and sheets which are made mandatory for digital transformation e.g., Daily Utilization, Reporting Log, Equipment list etc.
- Effective asset utilization of all lab and field equipment and tools.
- Inform customers for any planned or unplanned de-mobilization of technician from the project at least 30 days prior.
- Participate in all compliance and regulatory audits & Assessments and ensure timely closure of related findings of those audits and assessments.
- Approve after verification electronic attendance and report to HR/Admin in case of any HR/Admin issue related to assigned team members.
- Coordination with QHSE Managers for identification of operational issues, their solutions, and plan/suggest improvements.
- Submission of Monthly Performance Report of Civil Labs. after review and finalization to Top Management.
- Review & approval effective utilization of Resources through Monthly Resource Utilization Report.
- Ensure compliance of QHSE and Technical Requirements in Civil Labs.
- Ensuring that the processes are delivering their intended outputs.
- Prepare Civil Labs. for External Audits (Surveillance + Certifications/Accreditations) and ensure its successful execution.
- Assisting QA Team in updating of QMS Documents.
- Coordination with Sales Team for New Projects.
- Coordination with Finance & Admin Team for New Consultant Registration and provide technical guidance/support during the Registration Process.
- Work on Scope/Business Expansion.
- Plan Tasks to achieve the Financial Targets and continuous Monitoring.
- System analysis to reduce the operational cost.
- Ensure implementation of Skill Development/Training Programs for New and Existing Staff Members.
- Identify and Organize Skill Development Trainings for Deputy. Lab Managers/Supervisors.
- Approval Nuclear Density Gauges related activities and ensure compliance of Radiation Safety requirements as per Company’s compliance requirements.
- Ensure technical compliance as per Local Regulatory bodies.
- Assist HR/Admin in recruitment of Bahraini National and their skills development.
- Plan and Execute trainings of Bahraini Nationals as per training plan.
- Assist QSHE Manager in scope expansion and modernization of testing technology.
- Train staff and have eye to ensure the staff take reasonable care of the company assets (Laptops, Equipment, Mobiles, Vehicles and other company assets)

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with at least five years of experience and CRPEP License holder.
