Job description / Role
Operate, control, and maintain steady state operation of the Residue Hydrocracking/Hydrocracking Unit, LCF Technology, including related equipment in the Oil Refinery, in the most safe and efficient manner to meet required throughput, maximize yield and meet required specifications.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Chemical Engineering or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering is preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ hands on experience in Operating Control Panel/Console of Residue Hydrocracking/LC Finer/Hydrocracking Unit in Oil Refinery.
- Additional experience in fluidized bed, Ebulating beds, Nuclear detectors and Catalyst Handling Unit.
- Must have demonstrated competency to operate control panel by achieving better than minimum qualification criteria set by the department including Simulator training or other competence tests, as applicable.
- Must be conversant with the use of DCS (Distributed Control System) / Analogue Control system, Advanced Process Control, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) and Emergency Shutdown (ESD) systems as applicable to area of responsibility.
- Must have a detailed knowledge of all equipment and procedures relating to unit operations, emergencies, shutdown and start-up activities of facilities, Maintenance, and safety.
- Able to handle pressure during assigned unit abnormal/Emergency operations
- Good English written and verbal communication.
