Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Purpose:
- Take day to day responsibility for the provision of legal advice and support to the group companies’ inquiries, including advice on all aspects of the investigative process, analysis and drafting of decisions.
- Provide advice on specific, discrete legal issues raised by individual inquiries as well as advising on broader competition and administrative law issues and structuring of remedies and drafting undertakings and orders to give effect to the Company’s remedy decisions.
- Provide advice to company management and staff.
- Involved in policy work and governance issues and will take the lead in the conduct of litigation arising from the company decisions.
- Although a significant proportion of the work is advisory, lawyers and other professional staff work flexibly across disciplines, helping to collect and analyze evidence, conduct staff hearings with parties and lead workstreams.

Functions and Duties:
- Assist in corporate secretarial matters.
- Review contracts and agreements.
- Give advice on a broad range of legal and regulatory issues.
- Liaise with external counsel, when necessary
- Provide support in compliance related matters and risk management.
- Conduct legal research on a diverse range of assigned issues in international law and other area(s) of specialization using multiple research sources; selecting relevant material, analyzing information and presenting findings for internal review.
- Assist the Executive Management in the review of legal documents, instruments, or other material; identifying important issues, similarities and inconsistencies, etc.
- Assist in providing legal advice on human resources matters and assists in reviewing administrative decisions
- Assist in the preparation of legal opinions/advice on a wide range of international public and private law issues.
- Any other legal matters arising at Company and Group Levels.

Requirements

- 20 years’ experience, preferable last 5-10 years at a corporate level
- Insurance Industry experience
- International experience is a plus
- Good command in English, additional language is a plus
- Leadership & People management skills
- Certified Lawyer.
