Data Analytics Specialist

Job description / Role

A multinational financial services firm is seeking a Data Analytics Specialist to join their Risk department.

You will work as a part of a global team and lead all data driven projects initiated by their Risk Policy division.

Key Responsibilities include:

* Acquiring data from various sources and maintaining data in a structured manner
* Identifying key issues with data records and recommending remedial action
* Compiling large volumes of data into succinct analysis using advanced programming techniques
* Developing and automating reports using platforms such as Oracle
* Scheduling reports in a timely manner based on portfolio risks
* Lead and define all data project requirements
* Collaborate with the Business Analysis and testing teams to define data mapping and test results when needed
* Work closely with the IT, PMO and Risk teams to deliver data driven projects

Requirements

You will have the following skills:

* 3+ years experience in a similar role, ideally within the Financial Services Sector
* Degree or relevant qualification in Computer Science or related field
* Expert user in Pivot table, Microsoft Excel
* Expert user in external data sources such as Access and Flat Files
* Excellent analytical and numerical ability
* Strong understanding of Oracle, MS Office Applications and VBA programming is desirable
* Expert capability in managing large data sets and multiple databases
