Data Engineering Analyst

Role Purpose
The Data Engineering Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing data solutions that support the organization's financial operations. This role requires strong SQL skills, data warehousing expertise, and a solid understanding of banking finance to ensure data integrity and efficient reporting.

General
• Develop and optimize SQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Design and maintain data warehouse architecture and data models to support reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with finance teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Analyze and resolve data quality issues to ensure accurate reporting.
• Generate reports and dashboards to assist stakeholders in data-driven decision-making.
• Utilize SAS DI and SAS EG for data manipulation and reporting, as needed.
• Monitor performance and recommend improvements to data processes.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or data analytics roles, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.
Skills
• Strong SQL scripting experience, ideally in SQL Server.
• Extensive knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
• Good understanding of financial operations and reporting in a banking context.
• Experience with SAS Data Integration (DI) and SAS Enterprise Guide (EG).
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Understanding of data governance and compliance standards relevant to banking.
