Job description / Role
We are looking for an Experienced Dishwasher/Restaurant Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes are cleaned and sanitized promptly and effectively. Additionally, the role involves maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the entire restaurant, including both the dining area and kitchen. The successful candidate must be organized, reliable, and committed to following health and safety protocols.
Duties & Responsibility
• Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils quickly and efficiently.
• Operate dishwashing equipment, ensuring all items are cleaned to the highest standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area and storage spaces.
• Ensure kitchen equipment, such as cutting boards and knives, are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each use.
• Clean and sanitize all kitchen surfaces, including countertops, floors, and appliances, as needed.
• Support the cleaning and upkeep of the dining area, including wiping down tables, chairs, and floors.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of bathrooms and common areas.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and inform the supervisor when replenishments are needed.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for both staff and customers.
• Dispose of trash and recyclables according to restaurant procedures.
• Assist kitchen staff with any additional cleaning or organizational tasks as needed.
• Adhere to all restaurant policies and procedures related to cleanliness and safety.
Requirements:
• Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar cleaning role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic kitchen equipment and cleaning procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 25 kg) as required.
• Familiarity with health and safety standards related to food hygiene and sanitation.
• Reliable, responsible, and capable of following instructions with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, such as dish racks, garbage bags, or cleaning supplies (up to 25 kg).
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
