Factory Manager

Job description / Role

• Oversee daily operations in the factory to ensure efficient production processes and maintain quality standards.
• Coordinate production schedules and prepare daily activity charts, production reports, and forecasts.
• Liaise with clients to provide bespoke design consultations and solutions in cutting and fabrication, particularly for custom projects.
• Manage the operation, programming, and maintenance of machinery, equipment and tools.
• Update planning schedules and prepare cutting sheets based on received drawings and actual site measurements to minimize wastage.
• Develop long-term and short-term plans for increasing production capacity and reducing costs.
• Supervise and motivate a team of specialists, ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain adequate reporting for departmental control and management information.

BACKGROUND, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications

• Technical Graduate or equivalent technical degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in production within the stone/marble industry.

Skills

• Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and project specifications.
• Experience with AutoCAD is compulsory.
• Strong knowledge of different types of marble, cutting techniques, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Familiar with factory operations, production efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality assurance.
