Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Key Objectives:
• Ensure accurate Group /subsidiaries' Periodic / statutory reports are completed on a timely basis.
• Ensure accurate group consolidation and monthly trackers to enable availability of accurate information on time.
• Provide timely insights to management on key changes in accounting standards and potential impact / proactive changes that need to be considered.
• Provide support in Group wide taxation matters.

Principal Responsibilities:
• Compile/review interim and annual consolidated financial statements with use of EDW.
• Monitor and coordinate automation of Finance Reports using EDW at Group entities.
• Compilation of SVP MIS/Budget.
• Compilation / Review of periodical financial statements for all subsidiaries/Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs).
• Ensure group's strategic investments are properly accounted for.
• Compile/review financial compliance reports relating to debt covenants; support assessment of Goodwill impairment
• Compile/review Pillar III disclosure reports.
• Provide admin/coordination support relating to renewal of Group's non-life Insurance/claims management matters.
• Provide support for new products related to local/group accounting/IFRS research etc.
• Provide support in IFRS 9 implementation across the Group.
• Monitor/ Support Tax status across Group and also ensure tax planning / savings are achieved.
• Update finance related policies & procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Financial Accounting Management role (either in a Bank, Financial Institution or Audit firm).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, PRM, FRM, CFA, CMA, CIA, CPA, CA.
• Fluent English & Arabic language skills.
