Job description / Role
General Manager - Bahrain
A leading international EPC contractor have a requirement for a General Manager to join their Bahrain business unit.
The General Manager will hold P & L responsibility for the Bahrain business and will report into the Regional Director for MENA.
Responsibilities:
- Corporate governance
- Business development.
- Strategic development budgets.
- Manage and optimize the profitability of the division.
- Continuously improve risk management programs and procedures.
- Ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency through optimal processes.
- Give strategic direction and hands-on leadership to the management team to drive commercial growth.
- Ensure the financial viability and cost structure is regularly analyzed and appropriate measures are taken to monitor and reduce costs in relation to the operations.
- Ensure decisions of the Management Committee are communicated to all levels of the organization and are implemented.
- Monitor the sales budget progress and report on business development plans / activities.
- Ensure accurate manpower planning, including recruitment administration and proactive coordination with support functions.
Requirements
- 15+ years experience with at least 2-3 years in the Bahrain market.
- Background in engineering or industrial services.
- Broad knowledge of the energy and construction sectors in the Middle East.
- Experience of managing P & L.
