Head Chef

Job description / Role

We are looking for a passionate Head Chef's/Chef de Cuisine's currently working within a well-known 5* establishment, to join a very cool, boutique brand in Bahrain.

We are looking to relocate someone from the Seychelles Ideally.

Relevant experience Required:
• Have a history working in boutique style high end restaurants/Hotels.
• Work with seasonal ingredients to create fresh exciting menus.
• Understanding how to cost and budget dishes.
• Work with procurement regarding ingredients.
• You should have excellent working knowledge of HACCP and Health and Safety law.
• Train staff under SOP's and create spec books.
• Understand how to maintain quality and consistency of the food offering.
• Manage the pass calmly, with speed and efficiency
• Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner and support the exec chef.
• Passionate about the industry as well as having in depth knowledge of the market.
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, flexibility and ability to multi-task within a fast-moving environment.
• International experience is a must.
• Have had the relevant training in a culinary institute.
• Understand menu creation and development including costing and procurement.

The role is open for international candidates but ideally we are looking to hire someone from the Seychelles.

Pay includes Basic, Housing allowance, Transport allowance plus Medical Insurance and Yearly flight home.
