Head Legal and Corporate Secretary

Job description / Role

You be responsible for monitoring, managing and mitigating the Legal Risks of the Bank. Reviewing all Contracts and Agreements to ensure that Terms & Conditions protect the interest of the Bank. Advising Management, Business and Support Units on all issues related to Law.

In addition, Act as a Corporate Secretary for the Bank and arrange, record and follow-up on the Actions, Decisions and Meetings of the Board and the Shareholders.

Requirements

- Open to Bahrain nationals and Bilingual Expats with local / GCC experience.
- Master’s Degree in Law.
- Minimum 15 years post qualification experience, with sound exposure to English Law.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a Financial Institution preferably Banking.
- Exposure to Legal aspects of Documentation relating to Syndications, Account Operations, Credit Facilities, etc.
- Sound Interpersonal skills, and a good team player.
- Fluent in spoken and written Arabic and English.
- Knowledge of local and regional laws.
