Job description / Role
Permanent Position
Client is looking for a Head of Claims and Disputes, preferably a Jordanian nation with at least 15 years’ experience of working on major projects. This role will be to manage claims and disputes resolution services that the re-occurrence of similar claims and/or disputes is reduced and eliminated. You will also be providing mythology and best practices to reduce and prevents the claims and disputes.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Manage claims and dispute resolution services in coordination with the concerned Directorates, sectors and Project Management office
• Create and implement Claims and Disputes Prevention Policy
• Implement an effective resolution and prevention process to address, clear and prevent claims and disputes
• Provide necessary recommendations and advice to prevent claims and disputes that could arise from any MA & UP projects
• Monitor all project-related contracts ensuring that all stipulations and clauses are timely followed by external Contractors/Consultants
• Review and analysis all risks related to possible claims and disputes prior to signing contracts
• Ensure that counter mitigation claims are in place and instigate any claims for breach of contract
• Collaborate with Legal Affairs Unit ensuring that all mitigation claims, entitlements, actions and adjudication are in accordance with the laws of Bahrain
• Coordinate entitlements with Financial Resources Director and claimants ensuring their understanding and acknowledgement of dispute settlements
• Manage and ensure continuous operational efficiency

Requirements
• Bachelor degree or equivalent
• 15 years’ experience
• Be a Jordan national for Visa purposes
