Job description / Role
A great opportunity to work with a reputable financial services and investment company based in Riyadh as their Head of Internal Audit developing and implementing long term risk-based audit plans to ensure the effectiveness, efficiency and adequacy of the accounting, financial, compliance and operating controls across the business.
Responsibilities include:
• Planning audits using risk based approach to cover all activities/functions and taking into consideration business needs and the external environment.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of the key controls and reviewing the overall risk/control environment.
• Directing and administering all audit activities in accordance with the stipulated schedules/ audit plan.
• Preparing reports for submission to the Audit Committee and following up with department heads to ensure all audit recommendations are addressed and closed.
• Ensuring compliance with Internal Audit charter and manual, maintaining an awareness of changes in policies & procedures and ensuring they are in line with industry best practices.
Requirements
• 5-7+ Years of experience in a Financial Company at least 3 of which in auditing, accounting, business analysis, or program evaluation preferably with exposure serving in a professional firm environment.
• Chartered Accountant with a Degree in Finance or Business Administration ideally with a Master's degree.
• Certificates such as Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditor are preferred.
• Solid knowledge of the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the Code of Ethics developed by The Institute of Internal Auditors.
• Priority will be given to Saudi Nationals.
