Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Marketing and Communications:
- Develop an annual marketing plan for Board approval with quarterly status of goal achievement at each Board meeting
- Liaise with school stakeholders to get the important stories that highlight student and school achievements
- Implement and manage school accounts for Twitter, Facebook, Link’d In, Google optimization, and other designated social media adopted by the school
- Effectively market the school and its programs to prospective families by telling the school’s story through shareable social content
- Implement strategies to increase enrolment and identify potential growth for the school
- Identify and pursue new markets and design strategies from brand recognition and student recruitment in these markets
- Covering activities and taking photos for news and feature stories
- Assume primary responsibility to prepare regularly refreshed content including newsletters, stories, and weekly photos, and upload it to the website and social media
- Promptly report school news on the website and on our social media sites
- Establish and maintain a strong network of current and former parents and students to assist with the recruitment and admission process

Participate actively in market research and data collection, including:
- Conducting and analyzing surveys
- Audience testing of communications and marketing materials
- Stakeholder analysis that defines the core messages and delivery modalities. (For example the messaging in high school age students may be different and use different vehicles than the messaging for EC parents which would also be different from overseas teachers. Another example would to determine if e-notifiy, or instant messaging, or other, is the more effective modality for a particular group.)
- Lead the school’s community outreach events and collaborate with other departments in facilitating these events
- Monitor and manage the school’s web presence to ensure a positive image is maintained
- Research and assist in coordination of select special projects, meetings, and events
- Ensure the school appears in key directories and that entries are kept up to date
- Work with the admissions coordinator to organize and promote open days and other events
- Produce marketing materials for open days and special events including programs, banners, and maps
- Provide support to others who are organizing special events such as back to school or conference days

Planning and Development:
- Establish local alumni programming
- Utilize social networking media to connect the RVIS community locally and worldwide, including alumni.
- Create and implement programs and events with the Secondary School 11th and 12th graders that encourage continued involvement with RVIS after graduation.

Additional Job Functions:
- School tours.
- Relief for reception.
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience in marketing related fields
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Outstanding organizational and presentation skills
- Demonstrated experience with photography design, videography, website content management and design, and social media marketing
- Creative and artistic vision
- Proven ability to effectively lead and manage multiple creative projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Solid writing and editing experience and a fine-tuned attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
- Ability to supervise, motivate, and manage staff to set and achieve goals while acting as a professional mentor
- Demonstrated success as a confident problem solver
- Demonstrate knowledge of communication principles and marketing techniques
- Willingness to work irregular hours, on a flexible calendar year, and on weekends when required

Preferred:
- College/university degree with advanced degree
- Experience working in an international school setting
