Head of Planning & Performance Management

Industry: Insurance

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic and Business Planning
- Drives strategic and business planning processes across the organisation.
- Integrates and incorporates planning activities such as budgeting, manpower, capital expenditure and capital planning.
- Formulates comprehensive business strategy.
- Alignment of strategy with capital plan and communication plan.
- Incorporates strategic initiatives in the planning process with appropriate description.
- Compiles strategic direction and business plan documents.

Strategy Execution
- To develop strategy management framework based on Balanced Scorecard.
- Actively manages strategy execution process across organization with focus on key strategic work streams/initiatives, monitor strategic target achievements with scorecard based strategy map, as well as prioritize and coordinate key market / Operating entities / strategic projects.
- Responsible for reporting, analyzing and communicating strategy execution results throughout the organisation using dashboards and appropriate KPIs.
- Oversees Program Management Office end ensures that program and project management best practices are implemented.

Business and Market Analysis
- Prepares strategic analysis, market, competitive and feasibility studies.
- Provides effective management to a team, ensuring continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Develops Market and Business Intelligence framework by utilizing industry’s best practices.
- Oversees Research and Development activities assigned by Executive Management.

Management
- Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of all PPM Department functions.
- Sets the Department’s overall policies, planning & budget.
- Supervises and drives development of appropriate administrative communication tools.
- Achieves financial objectives by anticipating requirements; submitting information for budget preparation; scheduling expenditures; monitoring costs; analyzing variances.
- Implements proper housekeeping and makes sure internal procedures and directives are adhered to
- Manages work schedules for all team members.
- Demonstrates personal commitment to continuous self-development and service improvement.

Requirements

- 10 – 15 years’ progressive experience including minimum 3 years in strategy management role.
- Bachelor Degree (MBA is an advantage).
- Professional qualification in insurance or risk or project management or similar.
