Job description / Role
The Interior Designer will create innovative and functional design solutions for hospitality spaces, focusing on hotels and restaurants. This role involves collaborating with clients to understand their vision and translating it into compelling designs that enhance the guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a framework customized to suit the specific requirements and complexities of corporate interior fit-out projects.
- Utilize industry best practices and methodologies to ensure efficient planning, execution, and delivery.
- Establish clear criteria and benchmarks for control and management, including timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Monitor progress closely, identify potential deviations or risks, and implement proactive measures to keep the project on track.
- Oversee the performance of the design and site delivery teams, providing clear direction and fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Ensure that team members understand their roles and responsibilities and have the resources and support needed to perform effectively.
- Act as the primary point of contact between clients, vendors, and internal teams, facilitating clear and effective communication.
- Organize and lead regular meetings with stakeholders to ensure alignment, address concerns, and provide updates on status and milestones.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring they understand project requirements and deliver materials and services according to schedule and specifications.
- Monitor vendor performance, address any issues or delays promptly, and negotiate contracts or agreements as necessary.
- Generate and maintain accurate documentation of activities, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are kept informed of progress.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports or presentations to clients and internal teams, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and next steps.
Requirements:
- Has 6+ years of experience in corporate/ commercial interior design, specifically in hospitality spaces (hotels and restaurants).
- Degree in Interior Design or a related discipline.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.
- Strong capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to enhance team effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improved systems and processes.
- Proven track record in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
- Participate in and lead client meetings, engaging with stakeholders to understand their vision and requirements.
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to team members.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design software.
- Familiarity with 3D rendering software.
Salary:
BHD
900 to 1,200
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
