Employment: Full Time

The company:

• Our client is a leading Islamic retail bank based in Bahrain, providing a diverse range of Sharia compliant products. They are currently looking for an Investment Advisor

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Set the overall objectives and execute the budgets and financial forecasts for IB Capital investment assets.
• Review and comment on the periodic market research on sectors in which the Bank has invested with relevant updates to be shared with the senior management.
• Ensure documentation related to transactions for investments is complete and, where appropriate, to be held in safe custody.
• Identifying, negotiating and executing investment/exit opportunities.
• Identifying and selecting and engaging external advisors, if required, and preparing due diligence reports.
• Preparing investment memoranda for the CEO and Board of Directors
• Oversee the preparation of investment term sheets and lead negotiations and execution of exit transactions with counterparties.
• Coordinate with Legal Department / External Legal Counsel in preparing documentation and in executing transactions.
• Provide mentoring and coaching for IB Capital’s board representatives on the Boards of subsidiaries and associates with the objective of enhancing the value of the underlying investments.
• Ensure that the business plans, investment process, risk management disciplines are adequate to deliver the agreed performance on underlying investments.
• Prepare regular updates to senior management and the board of directors.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the CEO.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in investment banking in a senior position
• Bachelor degree in a business related major.
• Master’s degree is preferable.
• Professional certificates such as CFA, CPA or similar qualification are preferable.
• Thorough knowledge of financial markets.
• Excellent market knowledge and contacts in the investment domain.
• Proven track record and extensive experience in identifying, analyzing, valuing, negotiating, executing, monitoring and exiting investment assets with comparable experience in corporate finance and project finance.
• Possesses superior client relationship skills and experience of managing large and complex investments.
• Experienced specialist, capable of fully independent activity in all aspects of investment (e.g. origination, structuring, execution, monitoring and realization).
• Significant product knowledge and extensive expertise in financing transactions.
• Proven financial modelling and valuation skills.
• Excellent English writing skills.
• Interpersonal and Communication effectiveness.
• Well organized, methodical
• Ability to manage and delegate tasks, and to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines.
