Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Implements, oversees the management and maintenance of the infrastructure.
- Oversees troubleshooting, system backups, archiving, and disaster recovery, and provide expert support when necessary.
- Oversees all help desk activities.
- Responds to escalated help desk issues.
- Builds and maintains vendor relationships and manages the purchase of hardware, software products and other IT supplies.
- Ensures company’s assets are maintained responsibly.
- Initiates and implements improvements in all areas of IT.
- Serves as main point of contact on all IT-related matters for all assigned companies.
- Responds/acts on upper-management direction.
- Identifies and provides standards for gathering information for use in trend analysis and reports information to company management.
- Project / manage new information technology initiatives.
- Business Process reengineering.
- Manages the development of IT team by ensuring, when possible, that project tasks are in line with each team member career interests.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change.
- Adheres to the contents of the Company’s overall internal procedures and policies.
- Miscellaneous tasks within the scope of work, as assigned by the direct manager

Requirements

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Master’s degree will be a plus
- Holder of relevant professional qualifications or I.T. certifications is desirable.
- 8 - 10 years’ experience with minimum 5 years as Team Leader.
- Communication with non IT leadership.
- Time management.
- Writing and presentation skills in English.
- Decision and problem solving skills
- Organizational skills
- Ability to perform under pressure
- Sound technical background and extensive experience in IT is essential.
- MS Office; Computer Literate.
- Data base knowledge and experience minimum 5 years.
- Oracle data base knowledge and experience minimum 5 years.
- Worked in a development environment and is familiar with standard SDLCM including Agile
- Age Range: 35-45
- Language: English (Fluent). ARABIC is a plus.
- Must have worked in the GCC region
- Insurance background will be a definite plus
