IT Specialist

Job description / Role

• Manage, maintain, and upgrade hardware, software, and servers.
• Administer Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Odoo, and user access controls.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for users across departments.
• Monitor network performance, security, and connectivity.
• Configure and manage firewalls, routers, and VPNs.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols and endpoint protection.
• Oversee installation and maintenance of IT equipment and systems.
• Implement new systems, upgrades, and integrations within the organization.
• Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and data protection standards.
• Provide IT orientation and support to new employees.
• Conduct user training sessions on cybersecurity awareness and system use.

BACKGROUND, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network management.
• Strong technical knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Odoo, and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Experience with networking, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) is an advantage.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are a plus.
