Job description / Role
Assist the Project Manager in carrying out the field surveys. Advising Project Manager of necessity of overtime to meet project milestones.
Liaise with other agencies (Consultants/Contractors) to coordinate the survey work.
Prepare neat sketches to support the field work. Preserve all the survey information (field books, sketches & calculations).
Complete all surveying assignments on schedule and within man-hour and cost budgets.
Requirements
Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 7 years experience in field surveying for infrastructure projects such as roads, highways and bridges with particular emphasis on earthworks, concrete and pavement works.
Practical applications using GPS and total station is a must. Must have knowledge of surveying procedures and instruments, engineering formulas – knowledge of drafting, arithmetic, geometry, calculus and engineering formulas, CADD drawings and maps – knowledge of CADD drawings and various maps, maps and drawings – draft maps and detailed working drawings, design and drawings – prepare and review engineering designs and drawings.
Candidate whose experience has been predominantly with private consultancy firms is highly preferred.
Excellent communication skills and should be well presentable.
