KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

General

• Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (e.g., service agreements, NDAs, supplier contracts, partnership agreements).
• Identify legal risks, ambiguities, and compliance concerns within contracts.
• Ensure all agreements align with company policies, local regulations, and commercial objectives.
• Conduct legal research on regulatory issues affecting business operations.
• Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders related to commercial transactions.
• Assist in the development and updating of legal templates, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor compliance with relevant laws, including data protection, labor, commercial, and industry-specific regulations.
• Maintain organized records of contracts, correspondence, and legal documents.
• Track contract lifecycles, renewals, obligations, and deadlines.
• Prepare legal summaries, briefs, and executive-ready reports.
• Work closely with Procurement, Finance, HR, Operations, and Management to support contract execution and risk mitigation.
• Translate documents between Arabic and English when required (contracts, letters, legal notices, summaries).

Requirements:

BACKGROUND, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB or equivalent).
• 3–4 years of experience in legal roles, preferably within corporate, commercial, or in-house legal departments.
• Proven experience in reviewing commercial agreements is mandatory.
• Strong command of Arabic and English (reading, drafting, and communication).
• Knowledge of GCC commercial and corporate laws (Bahrain, KSA, UAE preferred).
• Proficient in legal research, contract management tools, and MS Office.
• Excellent drafting and contract-review skills in both Arabic and English.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to quickly identify risks.
• High integrity, confidentiality, and professional judgment.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills..
