Employment: Full Time

Our client, a reputed and well known Islamic investment bank has an opening for Legal Manager:

Job Outputs and Responsibilities
• Prepares, review and draft all legal banking operation documents
• Manage and counsel on the legal issues in investment management matters with specific focus on separate accounts, marketing and issues in the context of institutional asset management
• Be pro active in the launch of new products, including the formation and structuring of private investment vehicles where the Bank may act as collateral manager
• Administer and support in the negotiation and drafting of documents for separate accounts, investment guidelines, sub advisory agreements, negotiations, customized terms for large investors, RFP’s, and distribution agreements
• Coordinates legal due diligence on acquisition of assets
• Appraise the Bank’s legal and reputation risks in investment transactions. Link with the best and gain the benefits of best practices
• Facilitate to resolve policy, procedural and other legal and reputation issues with outside counsel, auditors, banking teams and internal committees during a transaction;
• Support the bank teams in legal processes

Requirements

Job Requirements
• Degree in Law is a must
• 5+ years post qualification experience with a minimum of 3 years in Investment/ Commercial Islamic Banking environment
• Capable to exercise independent judgment and provide practical and convincing advice;
• Solid ability to effect change and facilitate resolution of disparate viewpoints;
• Ability to multi task at work
• Brilliant analytical skills and judgment
• Excellent ability to interact with all levels of staff and management.
