Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Reporting to: Director - Development (AMP)

Objectives:
- To lead the asset integration process for all new ICT systems and assets delivered through the Airport Modernization Programme (AMP), ensuring systems and assets are efficiently transitioned into operational use with appropriate and cost effective maintenance arrangements.
- Work in partnership with BAC’s ICT team to develop and implement BAC’s ICT evolving strategy from 2016 through to AMP project completed, to ensure seamless implementation.

Main responsibilities:
- Customer facing systems and technologies that provide passengers with exceptional experience when using BIA.
- Back of House support systems that enable BAC, airport stakeholders and business partners to operate BIA efficiently, resiliently, commercially and successfully.
- ICT Asset management and service support arrangements.
- Work with relevant BAC Divisions to document their 2016 till AMP ICT Strategy.
- Ensure ICT strategies; objectives, scope, requirements and deliverables are considered and addressed through the design, system selection, and asset acquisition process and that the technical design is rigorously reviewed and signed off (at 100% design and ‘approved for construction’ stages) by the BAC ICT team.
- Work with relevant BAC Divisions to document their 2016 till AMP Strategy for the following enabling works; Fire station, security gate, ground handler facilities, aviation fuelling facilities, ATC Tower services and underground utilities – all requiring ORAT.
- Proactively manage the relationship with internal BAC departments and external BIA business partners; Police, Security, Customs, Immigration, CAA, Ground Handlers, Airlines, others to ensure their continuous buy in and needs are managed for AMP.
- Design & PM Interface: working with PMC, Design Consultant, and Master Systems Integrator.
- Evaluation of the ICT system designs.
- Execution & Control – attend Change Control Board, Oversee Risk Management, Critique the project schedule, understand and manage the contract(s) on behalf of BAC ICT department.
- ORAT - Define the technical handover requirements and deliverables (e.g. documentation, FAT and SAT testing, integration, commissioning, training plans and spare parts) for all ICT assets.
- ORAT - Prior to bringing ICT assets into operation, ensure handover documents are complete, accurate & functional.

Requirements

- Tertiary educated to Degree/Professional level in an ICT discipline.
- A minimum of 10 years client side ICT service provision.

Specialist knowledge:
- Experience of design and delivery of ICT systems into a live operational environment.
- Experience and knowledge of airport ICT.

Nationality Preference: Bahraini
